San Antonio Events for March 8-10

Your rooms are booked and your bags are packed. You’re headed to San Antonio for Spring Break! Now that you’ve got a destination point, let’s fill up your itinerary with some fantastic events during your stay.

1. Family Flashlight Night (March 8, 2013; 6 PM to 8:30 PM): As darkness falls, grab your flashlights and head to the San Antonio Botanical Garden for a family friendly adventure. Discover sparkling rocks, night-blooming flowers and nocturnal birds. It’ll be an educational and inspiring night! Click here for admission information. 

2.Luminaria (March 9, 2013; 7 PM to 12 AM): If you love art, then this event is for you. Release your inner creativity and enjoy a night filled with music, dance, literature and many other art forms. Luminaria spotlights artists from San Antonio and around the country allowing them a chance to give back to the community. The great thing about this? It’s FREE! 3. Texas Wineries (March 9, 2013; 2 PM- 5PM): You might not think of vineyards when you think of Texas, but your mind will change soon enough.Take a short drive to the Texas Hill Country and visit Kerrville Hills Winery.  Escape the bustle of the city and relax with some home-grown Texas wine and live music from Sol Patch! 4. Paella Challenge (March 10, 2013; 11 AM to  4:00 PM) Bring an empty stomach to the 4th Annual Corona Paella Challenge! There will be wine, sangria, live entertainment, and of course a whole lot of paella. Watch chefs and “average Joes” battle for the title of “Best Paella in Town”.
