Free is a word that is often accompanied by conditions. For example, “free meal…with a purchase of five other meals”.

When traveling on vacation, things can get pretty expensive pretty quickly. No one likes to break the bank when traveling. It’s all about relaxing not dishing out cash.

San Antonio offers a variety of attractions that will have you reaching for your camera rather than your wallet. Take a look at what San Antonio has to offer its guests for free!

  • How could you come to San Antonio and not see the Alamo? Well, you just can’t for a few reasons. 1) It’s the most famous building in San Antonio. 2) It’s FREE! 3) It’s chock-full of history. 4) Did we mention it’s free? While you’re at it, visit the 4 other missions that call San Antonio home: Mission San José, Mission Concepción, Mission San Juan, and Mission Espada. Hey, they are all free!
  •  The weather in San Antonio is perfect this time of year. Enjoy a day outside at one of SA’s free parks. For instance, The Japanese Tea Garden provides a peaceful oasis for you and your travel companion(s). The garden lies in an old rock quarry that dates back to 1899. The remnants of the quarry can be seen in the garden’s architecture.
  • Need a little culture in your life? Our town has over 20 museums and many have ‘free days’ where the public can enjoy all they have to offer free of charge. Click here for a list of museums and their ‘free days’.
