Armed Forces River Parade 2013

Known as Military City USA, San Antonio hosts some of the best military bases in the country. Lackland Air Force Base, Fort Sam Houston, Randolph Air Force Base and Brooks City Base all call San Antonio home.

Since the military makes up a large part of the San Antonio community, throwing a river parade in their honor is the least we can do to show support for our heroes!

The inaugural Armed Forces River Parade took place last year on Armed Forces Day, and like most San Antonio events, it gets bigger and better each year it continues. The river parade will be held this Saturday, May 18th at 6 p.m.

Most of the viewing route will be free, however, the association is selling tickets at $20 each for the Arneson River Theater, and will have seats for 400 uniformed troops in the Rivercenter lagoon.

Can’t make it? Watch it live on KABB San Antonio, Fox channels nationwide, and on and by the Pentagon Channel, at bases worldwide.

Thank you to all who risk their lives on a daily basis for our freedom. To those veterans, old and young, we thank you.
