Headed to San Antonio for the Independence holiday? Perfect. Looking for a place to celebrate? Done. Since one of San Antonio’s nicknames happens to be “military city”, you know we take our July 4 celebrations seriously. We are rather patriotic, if we say so ourselves.

Enjoy fireworks, sport your red, white, & blue, and soak up all things American at these fun and family friendly Fourth of July parties around town!

  • 4th of July Celebration at Woodlawn Lake Park. Put on by the San Antonio Parks Foundation and the City of San Antonio, this Independence Day celebration has been going strong for 13 years! It’s a great place to enjoy fireworks, give thanks to our military heroes, and spend time with family all while enjoying the view of Woodlawn Lake! There’s nothing like seeing those fireworks’ sparkles reflect the water. Did we mention it’s FREE?
  • Stars and Stripes Over San Antonio at Hemisfair Park. This is the second year the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce has hosted this massive July 4th party. They boast the largest fireworks display in South Texas with the largest shells bursting in air for 20 minutes! Follow along with the fireworks show soundtrack on San Antonio’s local radio station, Q101.9  There will be food trucks, music, and kid zones. Admission is $2 for 13 years and older. Military personnel with valid I.D. receive FREE admission.
  • Star Spangled Fiesta Noche Del Rio at the Arneson Theatre. Sit back, relax, and enjoy music and dance from Mexico, Spain, Argentina and Texas. This fun-filled, family event will feature local and regional Tejano and Conjunto artist with plenty of food and drink available. It’s a FREE event for all.
