Traveling for a job has become more of the norm these days. Whether you are traveling to a different state for training, a different city for a conference, or down the street to pitch a deal, traveling is a big part of business.

Here are some helpful tips to ensure a stress-free business trip.

  1. Invest in Quality Luggage. This is especially important for those businessmen and women who travel more throughout the year than being at home. Make sure that your luggage will last you hundreds of trips.  Also, keep small pre-packed bags of toiletries ready to go at all times. It’s just one less thing you have to worry about forgetting.
  2. Wear TSA Friendly Clothing. Airport security lines can be the longest, most frustrating things when traveling. To ensure a quick and painless go-through, make sure to wear TSA friendly attire. What do we mean by that? Wear shoes that are easy to slip on and off. Avoid wearing belts and a lot of jewelry.  Another helpful tip: try to arrange the items you place on the conveyor belt in the order you are planning on putting them back on once you go through the detector. It makes it easier to collect.
  3. Become a Starwood Preferred Guest. Earn points when staying at any  Starwood Hotel which can be redeemed for room upgrades, free nights, and free wireless internet. The more points you earn, the more rewards you receive.
  4. Don’t Ignore Your Workout Routine. Working out isn’t always the most fun thing to do, especially when you are traveling. However, the longer you go without working out, the harder it is to get back into the routine. Maintain your workout schedule without leaving your hotel room. Try mountain climbers, chair squats and off-the bed push-ups . You can also download workout videos onto your iPad or look up videos free videos on YouTube. The best part? You can do the routines in your pajamas if you wanted.
