Last year the record broke the record for the number of people to attend San Antonio’s annual New Year’s Eve Celebration in downtown Hemisfair Park. 250,000 people gathered around as the clock struck 12:00 a.m. January 1, 2013. This year will be just as exciting as San Antonians and visitors join together to reign in 2014.
This FREE event begins at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow. All night long partygoers can enjoy live music, food and drinks. The night will end, but the new year will begin with a 15-minute fireworks display.
For those driving downtown to the event, Alamo Street will be closed to traffic from Chavez Boulevard to Market Street; it also will encompass portions of La Villita.
